El Titanic vuelve a estar a flote, pero en esta ocasión James Cameron no tiene nada que ver. Titanic 2′ es una película para la televisión ambientada en nuestros días con la botadura de un nuevo Titanic.
La cinta, protagonizada por Bruce Davidson y la otrora vigilante de la playa Brooke Burns, es una película para la televisión que saldrá directamente en DVD y que se sitúa la acción 100 años después del hundimiento de el buque de los sueños.
Shane Van Dyke ha escrito el guión de Titanic 2′, una cinta que el mismo ha dirigido y donde se ha reservado un papelito.
La historia cuenta cómo para conmemorar el centernario del hundimiento del Titanic durante su viaje inaugural, el 14 de abril de1914, construye una réplica del trasatlantico que se ensambló en los astilleros de Belfast al que denominan Titanic 2. Pero durante el viaje posterior a la botadura del nuevo Titanic un tsunami hace que un iceberg se traslade por el océano quedando en medio de la ruta del buque.
