Fringe es una serie de televisión de ciencia ficción co-creada por J. J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman y Roberto Orci. La serie se estrenó el 9 de septiembre de 2008 en FOX en los Estados Unidos y CTV en Canadá. El 17 de marzo en Hispanoamérica.Junto con la nueva serie de Joss Whedon, Dollhouse, Fringe es parte de una nueva iniciativa de la cadena FOX conocida como "Remote-Free TV". Los episodios de Fringe serán más largos que los de las series de drama normales. Se emitirá con la mitad de anuncios y promos, añadiendo cerca de seis minutos de duración por capitulo.
La serie trata de un científico investigador llamado Walter Bishop (descrito como un "Frankenstein mezclado con Albert Einstein" y que esta representado por John Noble), su hijo Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson), y una agente del FBI, Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv) quien los vuelve a reunir después de 17 años separados. La serie es descrita como un cruce entre The X-Files, Altered States, Dimensión desconocida y Dark Angel.
